Pros have been in the olympics long before they were permitted. Only the naive think that only "AMATEUR ATHLETES" competed. How many nations set up special athletic confederations to train the best of their people? Just as long as national pride is involved, the idea of amateurs is laughable.

There are numerous HOF'rs who have lacked the ethical standards now requested by those who decide who is worthy. On his baseball record, he belongs. That is what matters. "Holier than thou" has never been a requirement of baseball.

Why not return to the old parameters of the strike zone? Now there are 6 inning pitchers, not 9 inning pitchers. Vastly different game than that I grew up watching.Today closers are more valuable than starters.

Ted Williams will not be the last man to make hitting a science. That next person may be playing today as a raw rookie or will not not play for the next 50 years; but he will appear. Baseball rules will change again and hitters will be dominant.

The Eagles won. Note Eagles, meaning the defense was the critical factor which enabled McNaab to do just enough to secure the win. Neither quarterback played like a world beater, two interceptions, 2 4th down stops, 10 stops on 3rd down combined with a couple of key penalties decided the outcome.
